This 1.03 acres of land is located just northeast of the town of Elko, Nevada, about four miles northeast of the golf course that sits along Interstate 80 as the crow flies. This is one of my favorite subdivisions around the town of Elko because of the beautiful rich red and white colors splashed through Kittridge Canyon and the views of the valley below! Meadow Valley Ranches Unit #5 is broken into two square miles, a west side and an east side with one square mile separating the two units. Each side has their own unique beauty. These lots have a high assessed value compared to similar subdivisions and the homes in the area are nice. All of the photos were taken of this property and its surrounding views when we viewed it in June 2004.
This lot is sitting in the eastern unit as seen in the section map link above. The bottom part of the unit is more on the floor of the valley and the top part sits up in the hills seen in a couple photos below and remains for the most part undeveloped. This lot sits on the top part. The road up to the top part that is a bit steep but once you get up there the views are incredible! You will pass through a gate on the way up and drive by a water tower. The power is to a neighbor around block 49 which is part way up the hill and only one block to the southeast so it's not too far away as the crow flies. You can see where block 49 is in the parcel map link. Power runs on the east side of the block to the south on Horsemint Street! We saw horses roaming around the top part of this unit when we visited and also caught a bird out enjoying the pretty afternoon!
There are fabulous views of the Elko Hills, Ruby Mountains and valley to the east as seen in the pictures below! The pictures are worth a thousand words! The Elko Hills and the Ruby Mountains were absolutely gorgeous over the green valley! This subdivision sits very close to the town of Elko and is already partially developed. I think this would be a beautiful place to build a home to watch the snow fall on the Rubys - far enough from town to enjoy the peace and quiet but still close to town, or someone interested in investing in land that is located close to the town of Elko!
