This is a pretty 2.828 acre piece of land beautifully tucked away in the forest about an hour west of Osage Beach, Missouri with no one around! All of the pictures were taken when we visited in the fall of November 2008, as the leaves had pretty much fallen making for a beautiful carpet of leaves through the forest! We took the pictures from three different parts of the property along the roads. The roads you see in the pictures are the roads leading along the two sides of the property. You can see in the maps and pictures that there are two roads/easements surrounding this property, Bradley Lane on the north side and Scranton Lane on the east side. They were bladed some years ago with culverts put in and the land owners association maintains these roads and we have found them mowed each time we have visited by the land owners association. They were very easy to drive.
The property was covered in lot of pretty trees and her fall colors were beautiful! There are lots of big tall trees with plenty of smaller trees as well. I thought there wasn't too much underbrush on the property and you can nicely see for a ways into the woods. The tall trees with the vines wrapped around them make it a beautiful lot! The lot is fairly flat along Scranton Lane, then about 1/3 to 1/2 the distance down Scranton Lane, the road and terrain has an aggressive slope downhill to a little gully below. It offers a very cool view of the hillside below with the sun bustling through the trees. You could hear the wind blowing and the leaves rustling around in the wind but complete silence other than that - nature and privacy at its best! This area gets incredibly green during the spring and summer months offering a different beauty once again.
This property sits pretty close to one of the boat ramps in the subdivision and close to Deer Creek as well. You can see this in the maps. It is a great place for a fisherman since it is extremely close to water and having boating access with a boat ramp just to the southeast on Le Grelle Place! Its called the East End Boat Ramp, and there are pictures of both of these down below in the subdivision/area part and its also noted on the Development Map. There is a neighbor to the northeast, on the north side of Deer Creek, in between Lake Of The Ozarks. You can see on the Aerial Maps that there are two power lines that run to the northwest of this property which we estimate to be less than a 1/4 mile away. You would need to verify with the local power company how close it runs exactly and the cost of bringing it to the property but it looks like it is fairly close!
I thought this was a beautiful setting and would make a great spot for a beautiful home or private getaway in the Ozarks! My notes say "very cool piece of property!" If your passion is fishing and/or other recreational activities that include water, and you throw in the rest of the environment, that makes this area so desirable!
Enjoy! Char the Explorer : )
