Property Information:
It is a central location to the county government as well as the growing city of Moriarty. Some parts of it sit up a bit higher offering pretty views of the valley and town of Moriarty in the distance. There are several old farms and crops about this part of the valley - a very pretty part of the desert! The small town of Estancia is roughly 8 miles south of the subdivision down Highway 41. There are stunning sunsets over the Sandia Mountains to the west! Sandia is spanish for watermelon.
The El Rancho Grande is located about 45 miles southeast of Albuquerque and 7 miles south of the town of Moriarty. I thought this was a very beautiful chunk of land! All of the photos were taken of the property and surrounding views when we visited in June of 2008. They show excellent representation of the land and the surrounding views! There was a hawk out hunting while we viewed this property which I caught in one of the photos - a very peaceful setting!
There are very pretty views of the Sandia Mountains from the northwest to the southwest - a very pretty view of the long range from the property! The treed hillsides to the west are very pretty as well! To the northeast is the town of Moriarty and there is a gorgeous view over the valley from the northeast to the southeast! There are green fields in the distance to the southeast. I thought this sure was a pretty part of the subdivision and a bit higher over the valley offering pretty views!
There is a dirt road leading along the south of the property. To the west three lots is an excellent graveled road. There are a few neighbors in the area. The neighbor to the north has their property fenced and there is another neighbor at the end of the road to the west. This is also where we saw the closest power poles. There were a few goats to the north. The property is about 1.5 miles west of highway 41 making for quick access into Moriarty and Albuquerque. The town of Edgewood where they have a newly open Walmart is only about 15 minutes northwest!
It is a pretty subdivision with friendly neighbors who waived at us while we were driving around. The subdivision seems to have a lot of pride as many of the homes were nicely kept places! If you have been seeking a place to build a home in the greater Albuquerque area be sure and check this out especially with power so close!
