There are several small tributaries to the Coal Mine Canyon Creeks throughout the area. Coal Mine Canyon Creek flows to the Humboldt River just to the south.
There are stunning views of the Ruby Mountains looming large from the southwest to the southeast and in front of them are the Elko Hills. It has breathtaking, sweeping views across the valley in all directions! Often called the Swiss Alps of Nevada, the Ruby Mountains rise to 11,300 feet at Ruby Dome. This is a great place to come out and enjoy peace, quiet, and privacy on a huge chunk of land with amazing views!
