Woodland Springs Wildlife Refuge includes 93 acres of rolling hills, pine and hardwood forest with four spring-fed ponds and two streams. The refuge is located 20 minutes outside of Tallahassee, Florida. This one-of-a-kind property also includes an environmentally responsible 2,220 sq. ft. log cabin-inspired home with its own fishing dock and breathtaking views.
Wildlife is abundant – this is a nature lover’s paradise. The wildlife, especially the endangered species, have been kept safe with crystal clear ponds and streams and have lived in an undisturbed habitat for the last 10 years. The four separate ponds and two streams were tested and are completely pollution free. Large bass and bream (brim) are plentiful. The ponds are all accessible by private roads – Safe and Secure.
The two-story log home features 9'4" cypress ceilings, multimedia wiring, two enclosed porches, central vacuum, handicapped accessible, and pet-friendly design, 2-car garage, and more. There are two entrances off Solomon Dairy Rd. One is a double-gated service entrance and the other is a gated private driveway. All areas of the property are accessible by private roads.
The refuge has a wide variety of trees including pine, oak, river birch, maple, magnolia, wild persimmon, palms, crepe myrtle, dogwood, holly, sweet gum, cypress and cedar. In addition, there is a small orchard next to the house with pear, peach, plum, fig, orange, persimmon, tangelo and loquat. The trees have been pruned for easy picking. The sweet-tasting fruit is ready now!
Due to ill health my husband and I are having to sell the wildlife preserve.
