This one acre lot is sitting just down the road from the new city limits as seen in the section map link above! The thick black line on this map denotes the annexed part. Also notice how this property sits near the bottom of the Rio Rancho subdivision and the City of Albuquerque is a hop, skip and a jump to the southeast! I have watched the city grow from the east to the west along the southern portion of the subdivision since I first visited this area a few years ago. On my recent visit I saw a new Walmart at the intersection of Unser and Southern which is only a few miles to the east as seen in the section map link as well.
All off the photos below were taken when we viewed the property in October 2007. The area is gentle rolling hills with scattered junipers, cactus, native plants and grass. To the east is a fabulous long view of the Sandia Mountains. You can also see a few other mountain ranges to the north and northeast. You can see the skyscrapers of Albuquerque to the southeast - very cool! There are cool mountains with interesting peaks to the south. There are power transmission lines about 1/4 of a mile to the south and 3/4 mile to the west. This lot is twice the size of most of the lots in Rio Rancho! Be sure and check this out. You will be hard pressed to find a cheaper investment property in Rio Rancho this size sitting so close to the city limits!
