Forbes Lake of the Ozarks is a beautiful 12,800 acres located in Benton and Camden Counties in Missouri. Consisting of over five miles of shoreline on the Lake of the Ozarks, it also has three interior lakes that average over 20 acres each, three private boat launches for property owners, a picnic area and an RV park. There is an abundance of wildlife there walking around as if they were the only ones there! Turkeys and deer roam about hiding in the trees and walking across the roads with no worries!
This is a pretty 2.934 acre corner lot located along one of the main drags through the forested subdivision about an hour east of Osage Beach, Missouri! We had a chance to view this property in November of 2007 and the fallen leaves were gorgeous! It is an interesting piece of land. Forbes Road runs to the east and is a very pretty winding road through the trees and Sullivan Lane runs along the southern part of it. We took the pictures at a few different places to give you an idea of what both sides are like. This property is so beautiful, tucked away in the woods and it's pretty close to one of the boat ramps!
Forbes Road, the main road that runs along the east side of this property is stone/gravelled extremely well. The road along the south end, Sullivan Drive, is graded smooth and mowed to be maintained. The other road that branches off Forbes Rd to the east is called Ritchie Lane. You can see these easements in the maps provided and they are marked as seen in the pictures making it easy to locate the property. The property is flatter along its southern part on Sullivan Drive and around Ritchie Lane. It then heads north up a gentle rolling hill.
The property is covered in trees and there are many varieties lots of big tall trees with pretty fall colors and some shorter green trees as well - a very pretty setting. The trees are so tall making this a beautiful lot with the sun busting through the trees lighting it up! You could hear the wind whistling in the trees blowing the fallen leaves around - a very pretty time of year but complete silence other than that! Nature and privacy at its best!
There is a neighbor to the NE on the north side of Deer Creek, in between Lake of the Ozarks but no one else around! It looks like in the aerial map that there are two power lines that run to the northwest of this property. The closest power line is about 1/2 a mile (5 lots) to the east of this property along Lake Rd M-25, which does a loop around this area. You would need to verify with the local power company how close it runs exactly and the cost of bringing it to the property but it looks like it is fairly close!
You can see from the maps that this lot sits extremely close to water with a pond to the west and boating access with a boat ramp and dock just to the east on Le Grelle Place. It’s called the East End Boat Ramp and it’s about 1.5 miles east of this lot. If your passion is fishing and other recreational activities that include water this is your place! I think this is another fabulous lot located along a road in fabulous shape in a fabulous subdivision!
