Located 15 miles north of Albuquerque and 50 miles southwest of Santa Fe, Rio Rancho sits high atop a mesa offering stunning views of the Sandia Mountains and Rio Grande! If you drive west out of Albuquerque and then head north up into Rio Rancho you will be amazed at the growth. Five years ago when I first visited this area they were redoing the interstate through the middle of Albuquerque and these were just overhead signs with no exit to anywhere yet.
Now...its homes built the entire way out to these exits west on I40 and then north into Rio Rancho. Take the drive! Go see it for yourself! I believe in Rio Rancho as an investment and encourage you to explore the growth in this area!
This one acre lot is an oversized lot located just south of Southern Blvd and west of 60th Street. These are both major roads in the subdivision. This property sits about ten blocks outside of the current city limits! All of the photos were taken in April 2007 about three lots to the southwest and these should be an excellent representation of the area.
The area is a gentle rolling hill with lots of junipers, cactus and native plants and grasses sprinkled about. To the east is a fabulous long view of the Sandia Mountains! It was snowcapped and beautiful when we visited! I could also see two other mountain ranges from this area! You can see the skyscrapers in Albuquerque to the southeast - very cool! There is also a cool flat mountain with interesting peaks to the southeast.
