It is zoned residential and allows traditional homes, manufactured homes, and RV usage up to 3 weeks at a time. This county is open range for livestock also and the county has minimal building restrictions. It is two adjoining 5 acre parcels in a very cool part of the valley - remote yet accessible! It is located about 15 minutes away from San Luis, the county seat, and the busy town of Alamosa is a 45 minute drive to the northwest. The New Mexico State line is a few miles to the south and the infamous Taos sits about an hour away.
The Rio Grande River flows within a few miles to the west of the property and there are several crops and farms sprinkled about the area as seen in the aerial photos. In May of 2009 I saw wild horse in the subdivision while out exploring land as seen in the photos as well - a beautiful sight! We are selling these two adjoining parcels together as one piece since they make up a nice chunk of land with one side being a higher elevation over the other - however they are already subdivided and if you decided to turn around and sell them separately or give one away you would not need to do any additional paperwork.
