This 580+ acre property in north-eastern Oregon is situated about
6 miles north of the small town of Richland, and about 45 miles
from Baker City. It is surrounded on two sides by National Forest
land. A year-round stream runs through the property and there is a
spring and a small pond. There are mule deer on the property and
elk during the winter. This is high desert country with some large
(and smaller) pines, firs, a few aspen but mostly open land with
sagebrush and other brush typical to that country. It has been used
for cattle grazing part of each year. It’s close to the Snake River
and Brownlee Reservoir for good fishing; in addition, Eagle Creek,
which is across the road from the property, is a good trout stream,
and there are NFS campgrounds nearby which front Eagle Creek.
There are no improvements on the property but various sites which
could be good for a cabin or mobile home.
