|
Property Information:
Tucked in the middle of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, this 13.65+/- acre in-holding and cabin is a rare find. Only a handful of tracts such as this one still exist in Colorado. The property is located approximately 8.7 miles west of Westcliffe, Colorado, and consists of two mining claims, the Venezuela Lode and the Sunshine Lode. The land ranges from sloping to steeply inclined, with approximately 95% forested. The tree cover is diverse, with Aspen, Ponderosa, and other Fir and Spruce varieties as well. Year-round, Verde Creek flows through the property.
The Rainbow Trail crosses the property and is a gateway to the many high mountain trails and trout lakes in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Wildlife abound here, and are frequent visitors at the creek. The 768 sf log cabin is surrounded by the San Isabel National Forest. The cabin was updated in 2002 and has a working fireplace in the great room and a spacious deck outside.
