A stop off place for Appalachian trail hikers in NE Tennessee Cherokee National Forrest
Here is an opportunity to own a business where you are allowed to spend time with some of the greatest people.
This resort has been the destination for hikers, campers and just all around nature lovers. Black Bear Resort setting on over 23 acres nestled in the Appalachian Mountains provides a perfect venue for a variety of events at the beautiful convention center.
Black Bear Hall is a 2000 square foot hall that has a 1600 square foot open space and a full kitchen with sinks, two refrigerators, and two stoves. Black Bear Hall is often rented separately or as an inclusive package with cabins/cottages.
Many of our guests enjoy fishing in the 1/4 mile of frontage on Laurel Creek that runs on the campgrounds. This creek is stocked every other week with Rainbow Trout which makes for some great fishing. Some of the fish are introduced right off our entrance bridge. If that is not enough, we are located just 8 miles from Wautaga Lake for those that prefer lake fishing. Plus were just minutes from many attractions that families enjoy spending their vacations doing.
